Another month and another Birchbox. This one is the first box of my 12 months prize from Oliver Bonas (yey!). It also happens to be my favourite Birchbox so far!
The past few boxes there have been things in that I just haven’t ended up using. This box I know I am going to use every single item. I can’t wait!
Hoola – Benefit
I was so excited to see this little gem in my box. I have heard such good things about this matt bronzing powder.
Normally I use a matt bronzer by The Body Shop, but I am going to switch the Hoola now. This is just a great colour to add some warmth to your face. It has no shimmer in, which I now is hard to get with a bronzing powder. Although the Body Shop bronzer I use also has no shimmer.
Overall, just a great product that I will definitely be using. I’ve also seen it used as an eyeshadow so I will be trying that out.
Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream
I suffer from really dry hands all year round. This is particularly apparent in winter and I often struggle to find a good hand cream that suits me.
I tried this cream for the first time yesterday and my hands feel amazing.
This cream is not greasy at all but it nourishes the skin and leaves your hands feel soft and moisturised. I am so happy with this cream. It is a handbag staple!
Percy & Reed Volumising No Oil Oil
I haven’t tried this product on my hair yet but I’ve tested the product and I think it’s going to good.
My hair has become quite flat recently because I am growing it. The longer it gets the flatter it gets! So a volumising hair product is exactly what I need right now.
I’m really excited to try this and add some volume to my hair while taming my flyaways!
I was only thinking the other day that I need to invest in a brush cleaner. I am terrible at remembering to clean my brushes regularly. So when I opened my box to find a brush cleaner I was thrilled!
This is a little rubber, texturised, pocket that you rub you brushes on after soaping them up.
I’m looking forward to an afternoon of brush cleaning very soon!
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
Again, this product was perfect timing as I’ve just finished my top coat bottle. I’m always on the lookout for a new topcoat, one that won’t chip!
I used this with a new primark nail polish I bought recently and it went on very nicely. The topcoat dried really quickly.
I did chip a nail in a relatively short time, but it was only one and the rest were fine. However, it didn’t stand up again some DIY I did on Sunday.
Overall, this is a good topcoat but if you use your hands a lot for manual type work it won’t last based on my experience.
This month’s Birchbox was really good. The best I’ve had so far. I’m really enjoying all the products and looking forward to December already!
